Summer has always been the season of freedom, light, travel, and carefree joy. It is the time when the colors, forms, and scents of nature surround us with the greatest intensity. In recent years, however, another reality has become inseparable from this vibrant beauty: prolonged heatwaves, drought, and landscapes pushed to the limits of their resilience.
Vibrant Summer, Burning Earth explores this fragile balance through three different creative perspectives, connected by a shared language: the world of plants.
In ZEMA’s porcelain jewelry, Viaplant’s plant-based design objects, and Barnabás Szakács’s botanical artworks, nature becomes at once ornament, material, memory, and message.
The exhibition celebrates the beauty and richness of the plant world while quietly posing an increasingly urgent question: how can we continue to admire nature if we do not act to preserve it?
A dialogue between art and design in which, this time, nature is given a voice.
Viaplant
Nature becomes material.
Viaplant explores the threshold where nature is transformed into design. Working with real plants as raw material, the studio creates distinctive surfaces, lighting pieces, and interior objects that preserve the textures, memory, and singular character of plants and landscapes.
Each piece invites us to rediscover and reconsider our relationship with the natural world that surrounds us.
Barnabás Szakács
Nature becomes art.
As both landscape architect and visual artist, Barnabás Szakács approaches plants not merely as decorative motifs, but as living archives. In his work, painting encounters real botanical matter, revealing the fragile interconnections between nature, culture, and time.
His compositions preserve the traces of specific landscapes while reflecting on our continually shifting relationship with the Earth and the natural world.
